COVID-19 Activity Interruption

April 6, 2020

March Letter to Singers & Families from Mr. Gartner

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus (PCC) is actively monitoring news from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health regarding the local, state, and national implications of the COVID-19 global pandemic. Effective immediately, all PCC singer and volunteer activities have been canceled through May 1, 2020.

PCC looks to the direction of the Escambia County School District (ECSD) and the City of Pensacola for all manners of public safety. Through these lenses, we will evaluate the feasibility of programs beyond May 1 as the pandemic evolves.

PCC’s office will be closed to the general public beginning Monday, March 23. We will conduct business and programming through the Zoom Meeting platform. Ways to engage will be sent out to our registered singers and families. Public events will be promoted through our social media accounts.

During this time of quarantine and social distancing, we are committed to maintaining a sense of community, friendship, and music-making. We especially encourage all members of our PCC family to support one another during this trying time.
