Pensacola Children’s Chorus Presents OVATION: An Elegant And Immersive Evening Beyond The Saenger Stage

Tickets are now available for this inaugural gala event benefiting PCC’s Tuition Assistance Fund

Pensacola, Fla. – November 2024 – The Pensacola Children’s Chorus (PCC) invites the community to a brand new, one-of-a-kind black-tie affair, OVATION, on Friday, January 17, 2025. This unique event offers patrons an unprecedented opportunity to experience the historic Pensacola Saenger Theatre like never before, all while supporting PCC’s Tuition Assistance Fund.

OVATION is more than simply a fundraiser or a concert; it’s an immersive experience that transforms the entire Saenger Theatre into a patron’s playground. “We’re opening every corner of the Saenger Theatre to our guests, allowing them to explore this historic landmark from perspectives few have ever seen,” Alex Gartner, PCC’s Artistic and Executive Director, said.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with an elegant cocktail hour in the theater’s lobby, featuring live entertainment, exquisite appetizers and signature drinks at an open bar. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., guests will be treated to a private concert featuring the talented and dedicated members of the Children’s Chorus.

Following the performance, the celebration transitions from the concert hall to the stage itself, where every cracked door leads to more fun, food and entertainment in the seldom-seen backstage corners of the Saenger. “We're pulling back the curtain and inviting our supporters to immerse themselves in the secrets of the Theatre while they explore our 10+ dining options,” Gartner explained. “It’s an immersive experience that blends gourmet cuisine, live music and the magic of this iconic venue.”

The culinary journey will feature hors d’oeuvres and artfully curated buffet tables, encouraging guests to mingle and explore. Sponsors will enjoy table seating and the service of private wait staff beneath a twinkling tapestry of crystal, lights and chandeliers. Ticketed guests can enjoy dinner and cocktails with a variety of seating options, including cozy couches, quiet nooks, cocktail tables and a candlelit community table. Additional adventure can be sought in the backstage speakeasy with additional drinks and special entertainment.

“OVATION represents a new chapter for PCC where our supporters get the spotlight,” Gartner added. “Step onto the Saenger stage and find your mark. This evening is all about our incredible community.”

All proceeds from OVATION will benefit PCC’s Tuition Assistance Fund, supporting the organization’s commitment to making arts education accessible to all interested young people, regardless of financial circumstances. This commitment is more crucial now than ever before.

“Our Triple-A Commitment—Affordable & Accessible Arts—is at the heart of everything we do,” Gartner emphasized. “We believe that every child deserves access to a transformative music experience. With rising costs affecting many families in our community, our Tuition Assistance Fund ensures that financial constraints never prevent a child from participating in PCC. OVATION directly supports this vital initiative, helping us maintain our commitment to offer tuition as low as $25 per month for those in need.”

PCC was able to more than double their standard commitment last season with the support of donor-backed dollars, primarily from events like OVATION. “With a successful OVATION premiere, we can surpass our standard commitment once more!” Gartner proclaimed.
