PENSACOLA CHILDREN'S CHORUS

DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT

Full Time | 35-40 hrs/week | Beginning on or after August 28, 2023

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus seeks a resourceful, connected, highly organized, and dynamic professional to serve as its Director of Advancement. As a valuable member of the organization’s administrative team, the Director of Advancement will manage fundraising and public engagement efforts. With a focus on donor strategy, audience engagement, and advocacy, the Director of Advancement will work alongside existing staff and the Board of Directors to further the organization’s mission to transform the lives of young people and the community at-large through impactful encounters with music and the arts.

FINANCE MANAGER

As a customer-focused team-player, the Finance Manager will work alongside the Artistic & Executive Director, existing staff, and the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission and vision of transforming the community through music education and performance.

ASSOCIATE ACCOMPANIST(s) of PENSACOLA SINGS

Contract | 1-3 hours/week, beginning in October 2023

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus seeks a talented collaborative pianist(s) to serve as Associate Accompanist for the inaugural semester of PENSACOLA SINGS, unique community youth choir based in City of Pensacola owned-and-operated neighborhood resource centers. The Associate Accompanist will work in collaboration with PCC’s full-time instructional staff to support the musical and personal growth of young performers, both in rehearsal and performance.

 

PENSACOLA SINGS is an initiative of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and aims to bring accessible choral music and impactful social emotional learning to community spaces. An innovative, cross-sector collaboration, PENSACOLA SINGS is a data-driven partnership between the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and the City of Pensacola. Operating in 3 different sites, these no-cost choirs learn similar repertoire and combine twice yearly for performances.

MUSICIANSHIP INSTRUCTOR

Contract | 1-3 hours/week, beginning in October 2023

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus seeks a music teacher to serve as Musicianship Instructor. The Musicianship Instructor will work in collaboration with the organization’s full-time instructional staff and community partners to support the musical and personal growth of young performers.


Funding for this position is provided in part by the Escambia Children’s Trust, a taxpayer-funded children’s services agency that focuses on the betterment and well-being of the youth in Escambia County, Florida. Through a grant provided by the Trust, the Pensacola Children’s Chorus will welcome new singers in grades 1-12 who are designated as “at-risk” into the Resident Choir Program. The Musicianship Instructor will work primarily with this population of singers prior to the start of weekly rehearsals.

BOARD MEMBER

1-3 hours/month, beginning in August 2023

The Pensacola Children’s Chorus  seeks passionate community members to serve as Members of its Board of Directors. As a collective body, the Board of Directors leverages their professional expertise and personal connections to advocate for PCC’s programs and advance the organizational mission throughout the community.

The Board of Directors serves as the primary governing body of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus. The entity draws its power from the organization’s Bylaws which outline the Board’s leadership structure and decision-making authority. Individual board members are selected not simply to fill a vacant seat, but to use their professional expertise to help advance the organization forward.
