Pensacola Children’s Chorus Announces Start of 2023-2024 Season!

Updated: Jan 23

Pensacola, Fla. – August 2023 – The Pensacola Children’s Chorus (PCC) announces the start of their 34th season with an exciting lineup for our Mainstage Performances. This year, you can expect more opportunities to enjoy some of Pensacola’s best performers, including the addition of Hauntcert, a family-friendly Halloween concert, on October 28, 2023 at the Saenger Theatre*. As always, be prepared to be dazzled by our regular season performances. Christmas on the Coast, held on December 8-10, 2023, is a dazzling holiday spectacular that transforms sunny weather into a winter wonderland. One World, Many Voices, held on March 3, 2024, celebrates the power of what is accomplished when voices unite in song. Our final performance, Showtime, scheduled for May 10-12, 2024, is a Broadway-quality variety show featuring the best music from both stage and screen.

“This year’s season will be bigger than ever,” says Alex Gartner, Artistic & Executive Director. “The addition of Hauntcert to the lineup will be a great way to celebrate the Fall holiday. Capped at 45 minutes, it’s perfect for families of all ages.” Reserve your favorite spot to some of the best shows in town before they go on sale to the general public with a Season Subscription! Avoid expensive third party taxes and fees that are typically incurred through external box offices, and receive personalized concierge service from our friendly staff for all your ticketing needs. Plus receive invitations to subscriber-only receptions prior to each show, as well as opportunities for an exclusive backstage tour and annual appreciation parties. On sale through our website until Friday, September 15, 2023. Rehearsals resume in a few weeks at PCC facilities in Downtown Pensacola. PCC is excited to have all of their singers rehearsing together as we gear up for a great season. Our Ensemble and Young Singers choirs will come back the week of August 14th to get a jump start on Hauntcert music, with all other choirs kicking things off the week after Labor Day. There’s still time for new singers to join—no experience necessary and scholarships available through PCC’s Triple-A Commitment. “We are firmly committed to creating a path for all singers, regardless of financial circumstances, to participate in our program,” says Gartner. Named for the 3 “A’s” of the initiative’s name (Affordable & Accessible Arts), this program establishes $15 as the lowest monthly tuition for each program. Maximum tuition ranges from $55-$95/month based on age. Utilizing a sliding scale model, families can select the price that works best for their personal finances.
